Professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Northwestern University, Chicago, USA Dr. Samant is Chief of Head and Neck Surgery and Professor of Otolaryngology. He directs the multidisciplinary Head and Neck Disease team in the Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. He completed medical school and residency training in Otolaryngology at the All-India of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India.

Before joining Northwestern in February 2015 as Professor and Chief of Head and Neck Surgery, he directed the division of head and neck surgery at the University of Tennessee in Memphis for 15 years, developing one of the busiest tertiary care head and neck oncology services in the Mid South. Dr. Samant completed his fellowship training in head and neck surgery and microvascular surgery at University of Miami and in head and neck oncologic surgery at University of Tennessee. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. His clinical and research interests include multidisciplinary management of head and neck cancer with particular emphasis on robotic surgery for oropharyngeal cancer and endoscopic surgery for skull base tumors. He has been consistently been featured as one of America’s Top Doctor’s since 2011.
