Upon earning her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and passing the Nursing Li-censure Exam in the Philippines, Lovely entered the healthcare industry in 2012 to explore her passion for providing care for patients.
Late in 2016 Lovely relocated to New Zealand and completed the Competency Assessment Programme at Otago Polytechnic. She then joined Waikato DHB - Operating Theatre as a General Surgery Nurse in January 2017. Lovely has been the resource contact for both General Surgery and ENT specialties. She has been in Theatre Nursing for the majority of her career and intends to stay in this profession indefinitely. |

You’ve read the headlines or listened to the news about Waikato DHB’s cyberattack and you probably know more about this incident than some staff who actually worked here. But let us tell you this, it wasn’t fixed even after that weekend! Attend our presentation and we’ll be sharing with you an inside story of how it was in the perioperative complex during the cyberattack. It wasn’t easy but it was quite a journey. It would be great to learn a thing or two on how to prevent a cyberattack. Afterall, cybercrime might become the biggest threat to every person, place, and thing in the world (Devon, 2020).
