Chris Taylor

Chris Taylor is a self employed personal development and leadership coach. After half a career in engineering Chris retrained as a personal and business coach a decade ago. In this time Chris has worked with an array of individuals, teams and leaders in the space of clearing the decks for high performance - whatever that looks like for the team.

Chris believes all teams can improve without exception and much hinges on wāriu (values) ahurea (culture) and hautūtanga (leadership).

For a number of years now Chris has worked with doctors in mindset and personal performance space, typically with trainees as they approach their surgical exams. He is particularly fascinated by teams and teamwork in medicine, being non medical himself.

Chris enjoys keeping fit with biking and gym, is a toastmaster, loves the freefall of improvised comedy and has just started drafting his first book entitled 52, Am I halfway yet?. He is currently learning Tikanaga through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

Originally from the UK, Chris is married to Dr Angela Butler (ENT) with four daughters and lives in Christchurch.
