2021 was another difficult year with the postponement of our ASM and eventual conversion to a virtual meeting in February 2022. Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou to those who were a part of the virtual meeting and also to those who postponed their sponsorship until our next in-person meeting. We are grateful to you all for your dedication and support of our educational programs through these unprecedented times.

We have been unable to meet face-to-face for the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and therefore our upcoming meeting is greatly anticipated by our membership and, I am sure, all of you.

Our Scientific Committee has planned an exciting programme for the 2022 meeting; our vision for ORL22 is to shift focus towards our areas of need and bring everyone together following a difficult two years. We will be giving prominence to Māori Health, Rural and Regional ORL and teaching, education and research alongside our traditional subspecialty areas of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. Our medical industry and other educational sponsoring partners have always been a vital component of our scientific meetings, and we welcome this partnership once again at the upcoming ASM.

SPONSORSHIP & EXHIBITION CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations of any confirmed sponsorship or exhibition stand, by either party must be submitted in writing. If the Sponsoring Company cancels their sponsorship, cancellation will be accepted subject to the following conditions: 

• If the cancellation is submitted more than six months before the conference commences, the Organisers shall retain 10% of the contract price; 
• If the cancellation is submitted between three to six months before the conference the Organisers shall retain 50% of the contract price; 
• If the cancellation is submitted within three months of the Conference then 100% of the contract price will be forfeited. 

If in the event of the Conference being cancelled for reasons beyond the control of the Organisers or the Sponsoring Company, then the contract price is refundable less expenses already incurred to at least 75% of investment.
